Do you still pre-order games/consoles?

Last time I made a pre-order was for GTA 4. Never pre-ordered anything after that. Also never had issue buying any wanted game at retail or less thereafter.

Are you still pre-ordering things these days?

If not then what was the last thing you did pre-order?

As a bonus question, if you have pre-ordered before then what was the best bonus item you received with that order? Mine is either the lock box that came with GTA 4 or the angel/devil coin that came with Fable.

Oh good God no. I haven't pre-ordered anything since Fallout 4.

Why pre order? Most major releases need patches for at least a few weeks after launch. Moreover, I'm pretty happy to wait for a "definitive edition" so I have less DLC to worry about.

I do sometimes do early access for Indy games, but that's different.

Unless my gamedev pals have a new game coming out soon, or have something in early access, nah.

Last thing I got thru early access was Dungeons of Blood and Dream, a friend's stellar King's Field-ish dungeon crawler. Even then, it was pretty much a full game, so it didn't feel like a pre-order.

There was a Catherine "Love is Over" deluxe edition that I really wish I'd jumped on back in the day for the Xbox 360, pretty much just because it came with a Catherine pillowcase that my buddy has -- I'm jealous.

Nowadays I can't really afford console gaming.

Edit: Forgot that I did pre-order a Jack Frost pin a couple years back, which I still rock to this day.

The last time I pre-ordered a game was Pokémon Ultra Sun, and the only benefit I got was a 10% discount on the game.

RARELY. The only times I pre-order is if I know for a fact that the game is a limited release or is niche as ducks. Even then, I never pre-order the "limited" or "collector" or "whatever" editions - waste of money. And I pick-up the same day, as the shops that offer pre-orders can't be bothered to check if something is a preorder, they typically only get my copy in stock, which they'll sell right away otherwise.
