Do you still listen to the radio?

I use this one to listen some AM and FM radio from my country in the News hours and some talk shows I listened as a kid that are on live even in 2025.
Some times I browse some stations in USA, Italy or Japan just to have some noises when I do others things.

Just while on the car, there is a station here that I swear is still playing the same lovey-dovey songs they were playing when I was a kid, so I tune in when I feel nostalgic
Grande Amor 93.1, te quiero mucho

Yes. I listen every day. Right now WMMR is playing an acoustic Papa Roach event that they held last month. I'm looking forward to the Halloween show, which is usually a few days before Halloween. Five hours of Halloween music. ::megadancebaby

If I'm up late I will listen to Coast To Coast. I listen on a real radio. I just got another radio in May. I had two small transistors but the cats kept knocking them over. This radio is bugger and heavier and I'm really careful not to leave it anywhere fallable unattended.

If listening it through Radio Garden still counts, my answer would be "yes".

As Indonesian radio signal gets harder to catch on (I always get poor connection), I used Radio Garden most of the time. I oftenly visited RauteMusik FM (I forgot the exact location, but I still remember it's German), as I took liking on happy hardcore genre. And sometimes I took some screenshots to the songs I think I like it, so I can save it for later on other platforms.

I have two radios at home so yes

If I'm running late or am too tired to bother then yes

nope, nothing good in my region, in the capital there are some good " underground radios " with some electro or even metal music.

I used to listen to internet radio but not so much any more with Youtube having music compilations for genres I like these days. Might go back to it someday for nostalgia though. I mostly listened to anime or JPOP through Shoutcast, or (I think) Gamer FM/Epic Radio which TF2 servers introduced me to.

Edit: Shoutcast Directory because I had to go looking for it. They've redesigned the main site and seem to have hidden the directory which doesn't look like it's been updated since the 2010s.

Every morning before work I listen to sports radio and listen to whatever I can get in the car

Both AM and FM bands our country is frequently “visited” by typhoons (at least 15 a year). And when that happens both electricity and telcos (including internet) got knocked out and the only source of current info are some battery powered radios and the ones found in phones.

Most of the times: no, I hate how cringeworthy the same redundant radios are. I think only in desperate moments I turn them on. But I rather plug my phone in the car's stereos and listen to whatever I want.

yeah I listen to the radio every day. My alarm is a radio that comes on and plays gentle music from one of the classical stations, then I listen to it until the morning news plays and start my day.

it's a pretty chill way of waking up honestly.

I've also heard that Radio is shockingly prevailant in th UK still. I guess lots of people still rely on the radio in their cars for whatever reason? We have a bunch of popular regional broadcasting stations too which tend to get a decent amount of pull because they're covering regional topics and events and often have a more chill approach than the hyper mainstream channels.

Outside of the local rock and metal stations, there really isn't much worth listening to here. It's all either Christian, today's hits, country, or easy listening

There is a channel out in Pensacola that plays some decent music spanning the decades that's good

I've recently started listening to defjay Internet Radio again. Radio is simply retro and always usable it is part of life.

with 500gb worth of game soundtracks around 100k tunes + Winamp I got 0 use for radio or Spotify and thanks to youtube I also got allot of music to pick from.

I mean why the frack would I listen to radio that plays 90% commercials and 10% shitty music ???????
And why would I pay for spotify that barley have music I like or use the free version that is a pure lie. Hey you will now listen to music for 30 min free before commercial then 4 minutes later commercials for 10 min like where is my free 30 min you promised ?? F-ing assholes.

I rather buy CD´s and rip them or if I can pay the artists directly.

Someone has the radio on at work, and it cycles through the same tracks again and again. Guess that's what big money gets.
Outside of work I usually check what online stations are available on foobar, as I can't use radio garden since its blocked in the UK.
Very silly country...

Anyway I have a feeling some of you have heard of this station.

No but at work im forced to hear it .
Here in germany , especially in NRW , we have a good amount of radio stations but all are extremly generic radio-channels that play mainstream junk day in and out while the programs are nerve grinding wannabe tik tok shows . Even the show hosts are uncharismatic milq-toast NPCs that gives you more and more reasons to throw out the radio into the trash-bin and burn it up .

Atleast giving an awesome Rock and metal radio channel or show for the late hours . Put a host with the fastest tongue in the west , an unbreakable attitude and edgy like a legendary 8 million times folded katana , then im more than sold .

But now im sticking with spotify and my Music-folder full of MP3s on my phone .

I still listen to the radio any time I'm in my car.
Outside of that, no I don't really listen to the radio. I'm pretty old school when it comes to music and I have a collection of albums (albeit digital, not physical) that I listen to. I think there's a lot of value in listening to an album as a whole rather than just random songs via something like Spotify.

yes! i love listening to some throwbacks. most importantly, the radio helps me feel less lonely. i listen to it a lot especially at work (i work alone) and while cycling.

i dont really like just using spotify and youtube, it feels like it forces me into a specific genre with the recommendation algos so i like to listen to the radio to be reminded of nice songs ive heard or newer songs i may not have heard, outside of the usual genres i listen to.

it also helps that the djs have games, stories, and stuff like that to keep you engaged.

my website at https://chxshire22.com has 3 radio channels from my country you can check out, and i listen to them the most.

Does internet radio count? If so, I'm listening to soma.fm all the time.
If not, I listen to an alternative station if there's nothing else, then i listen to https://1073cleveland.com/
