I know that on September 21st, 1937, The Hobbit was published, and on September 21st, 1942, the B-29 Superfortress bomber made its first flight..

My first exposure to "Earth, Wind, and Fire" was through "Pop Team Epic's" parody of this song (Specifically, the English versions from the Toonami dub. I still haven't seen the show subbed). At the time, I didn't even know it was a parody because I wasn't familiar with the original song. So, when I DID see the original, I had the "Oh, so THIS is what 'Pop Team Epic' made fun of" reaction.
