Do you remember a game which had a name change?

To be more precise, we did get some, but not quite as expected:

• FF: Got the original version, but didn't get the FF1+2 Famicom rerelease.
• FF2: Got advertisements for it, but it was canceled. Wasn't available outside JP until the PS1 version.
• FF3: Nothing until the DS version, and no 2D version until the PR version.
• FF4: Got it as FF2, though it was FF4 Easy Type (the version with abilities and items removed on top of a lower difficulty), not the original version. The original wasn't available as FF4 until the PS1.
• FF5: Got previews of "Final Fantasy Extreme" in magazines, but it was canceled. PS1 version was the 1st outside JP.
• FF6: Got it as FF3. Got the original name back on the PS1.

Bonus: The first 3 SaGa games were released as Final Fantasy Legend. The first Mana game was Final Fantasy Adventure.

Right, I forgot that Europe DID get 1 + 2 on PS1 via FF Origins, and 4 + 5 via FF Anthology. Oh... (looking through my collection) we did also get 6 on PS1, so what am I on about...

If you want to be more correct FF5 and 6 is anthology with that magitek armor cover , final fantasy 4 through the chronicles its called "final fantasy chronicles" I think also shoved with chrono trigger

That's in the States, I am talking Europe. In Europe we didn't get Chrono Trigger until the DS port. Our Anthology on PS1 was 4 and 5, with 6 being a stand-alone release.
