hi, i was never into anime or manga (with some exceptions like cowboy bebop and initial d) but i'm kind of a sneaker head and recently YT recommended me a video where they compared real life sneakers and the sneakers that appeared in the anime/manga and then i got recommended another video but this time it was a instrospective on the anime and then another video and then another video so i fell into a rabbit hole but those videos always said something.

that the manga is better overall.

so which is the best way to enjoy slam dunk?

Don't know about the slam dunk anime, but the manga was amazing, for me the only spokon that's really worth getting into.

You either will love it or hate it, art is good, and characthers good, anzai sensei is what make it good the first chapters

Yes... Very much so:

I would say manga simply because it's a faster way to go through it, but I also like taking time to admire cool panels rather than have to rewind and whatnot to see it again.

Slam Dunk is the greatest sports manga.
Takehiko Inoue's artwork has a perfect balance of dynamism and stillness,
making it feel like the characters are truly moving across the court,
even though it's a static image.
The exceptional artistry is something you should definitely experience in the manga.
Of course, the anime is great too, but I strongly recommend reading the manga.

Read the manga, the anime is not complete.

I love the anime myself, however it does not finish adapting the story so it might be best to read the manga and watch the anime and the movie if you want later
