Do you play or practice any sports or physical activities? If so, share with us!

I used to be a Kendo practitioner years ago, and still regularly work it into my exercise routine. I'd love to get more into HEMA, but there aren't any groups near where I live.

Love a guy with a big wooden sword. ::winkfelix

Iraq's national sport is Football, so of course everyone here plays it, including me.
We used to always bring a Football with us to school and play in the Football field in our school.
(Yes, our school has a Football field.)

Is that unusual in Iraq? Nearly every school I've ever seen here has a Football/Soccer field of some kind.
Not really unusual, but they're not something special, as school football fields in Iraq are just stone ground with football lines drawn on them. (The goals don't even have nets!)
Non-school football fields in Iraq are kilometers better than them.

I used to play football in school, but that's pretty much THE Latin American sport, so like it or not, you playing football.

I also used to do some competitive swimming.

These days, I am just a lazy bastard.

I have never been into sports, butw hen I was in high school I used to play basketball just for fun and in the afternoon I used to practice kickboxing. Nowadays due to lack of time I just exercise at home.

Played semi-pro soccer at 16. I started at 4 years old. I played 1 year of baseball in HS. I spent alot of time with friends of mine playing football, baseball, wiffle ball, water polo and basketball growing up. My time as a kid was generally outside. I developed a disorder called Alopecia around 13 and my parents divorced causing me to then spend alot of time isolating with video games. I still played soccer after it started but I pretty much abandoned everything in life for video games and alcohol after age 17.

As a kid I always liked football (soccer) but my dad never took me to join any club, as a result I never really learned to play properly.

As a teen I did kickboxing but the instructor was savage, he was a boxer and had no problem going all in against a 17 year old amateur. I quit after a while. He also borrowed my copy of Gran Turismo and never returned it.

I also joined a basketball club but the teammates were really mean, like they were pissed off I joined them. Not one of them tried to talk to me or be friends. The coach never teach me the fundamentals of basketball so I never got good, eventually I left due to hostility.

At some point I got into inline skating, it was really fun. Not so much for the knees. It's a sport that works better with a group of friends.

As an adult I got into 'Futsal' or 5-a-side football. I played from 2019 until 2023. Like 200~ matches in total. But ultimately I quit. It was very competitive and got injured many times, once I had to get stitches on my chin after someone made me fall.

Now I try to solo run in trails when it's not too hot or too cold. I'm not particularly good at running without purpose, it is boring to me. But at least nobody tried to injure me doing it yet.

So yeah the very sad story of my sports life.
Always enthusiast to do it, not really welcomed by any group of people.
