Do you like seeing graffiti on train cars?

Graffiti art can be really cool if it's in/on a consented location or surface, but I can't really condone vandalism.

Some of those graffiti murals people get done on their buildings are pretty damn dope though.

Graffiti on train cars

I only get it if you're an edgy teen because of puberty phase. If you're an adult and still do crap like that: STOP IT. GET SOME HELP.
Sorry for the random quote though the last part of your reply to the other person made me think of this.

Some of the various train cars that I've seen over the years has had a lot of different things graffitied onto them, like there was one of Space Ghost on one that I saw a few months ago, which was pretty cool. There's always a lot of graffiti on train cars that I'm not sure what it's suppose to mean, if anything.
Lots of narcs in this thread I see… ;)

To answer the question; yes. I love all kinds of graffiti art, aside from when it’s blatantly hateful, or mindless gang-tagging. It makes ugly brutalist cities feel more alive.

Edit: Oops, didn’t mean to quote your OP like that!

I made a comment already on this thread, but want to add if you read the book Fahrenheit 451 it has some real banger quotes about this kind of thing.
It's in my "to read" list after I'm done with Brave New World.

I know that if a car has a broken window it'll have more chances to get broken further.

That's fine, I don't always see graffiti on train cars.

This isn't my pic but it's pretty cool how the put this other Space Ghost on the train car.

I’m not the conductor so I don't mind, unless it’s tacky.

My reply was indeed a reference to this ad.

Some adults are still teens inside.
That's not always a positive thing like at this case. And with case like these "grown ups" that still act like immature kids over sports and politics while they pretend being mature adults just for being working family men.

yes, clean train cars are so boring. it's nice to watch the art fly by

I don't like the gang related ones but the ones that's just an art piece are neat.

If it looks good and doesn't block anything important I would say it's an improvement.

I do if its not like racist or anything offensive but i really like it when the train cars are abandoned. Its kinda beautiful in in a way where a bunch of people breath life into something abandoned. Like you walk through the woods and stumble across just a canvas used by so many people. Its cool as hell.

Ive been doing graffiti since I was 12 (this makes me sound super old dawg im not that old) I love the graff scene as a whole especially trains and frights, the people are really sick, surprisingly theres a-lot of old school graff media thats out there that is really cool to check out, the quality is usually terrible but thats the charm 2 it (checkout Dirty Handz 3 and Up Here Kidz on youtube also Style Wars iykyk)

To be honest I like seeing graffiti on train cars, buildings etc. Some of those people who do that are very good at it.

Some beautifull ones yes, but as long as they don't cover windows or anything needed for the crew ( numbers etc )

I used to tag(horribly) all kinds of shit when i was younger, nowadays i think they are cool, i like watching them.
But in graffiti culture there isn't such a thing as "legal" graffiti, if you tag a wall that was meant to be tagged with permission you are not doing graffiti, you are just doing some wall painting for someone, which is fine but it's another thing entirely.
Wanting or not, graffiti is supposed to be non-conformist, it's supposed to be vandalism and total expression, anti-establishment and follow only it's own rules, and everyone involved in it has to know what type of trouble they are getting into.

One time a security guard freaked out on me just for *looking* at grafiti!

he was like "you cant be here! You have to leave"

i was like, "this is the sidewalk, dude."

"this is private property"

i was like " well call the cops on me, im tryina look at some art"

dangerous stuff, i tells you

I think it's really cool. My city has a lot of murals on huge building walls and I think it brightens the place up.

Graffiti improves almost every building or train car I see it on!
