Do you guys miss the old days

i sometimes miss the old days the thing i miss the most is the summers when i did fish with my grandpa and grandma
but when i think about school. my disorder and mental problem i do not miss the old times
i did survive school my disorder and mental problem i would never like to go back to those times

school
for me was a nightmare because i have attention deficit hyperactivty disorder along with some other mental problems
hade a few friends
many people did avoid me because of my mental problems

i was put in a special class because of my disorder and mental problem
the special teachers i did have was bad not all of them but many of them

in school many did call me alot of things and there was alot of mental bullying
the only good thing was that no one did dear to use force to bully me because i hade a sort temper and alot of muscle so no one in school could beat me in a fight

my disorder and mental problem
because of my disorder and mental problem i did start taking medicin when i was 6 years old
did haft to see a psychologist 2 times a week in many years

and at the time they did not know what medicin to use so they did try a couple on me to find the best one
some of those medecin hade very bad side effects

can not remember how many times they have scan my brain or check brainwaves
and all of the mental test i did have to take i did feel like a lab rat

Nah, If I have to go back in time to feel happy then I’d rather not be happy at all, I always try to look for the good in any period.

No offense if you do.

"I miss the middle ages where random people were being tortured and executed in public because they weren't faithful enough".

No seriously, when people talk about the "old days" they often forget about the down side of previous epochs...

In the 90's some diseases were harder to heal as well.

I think I’m in the best condition I have been in my entire life - like I’m finally actually living life

It’s as if my brain hadn’t been full connected for the first two decades of my life. The only reason I’d want to go back is to kick my younger self; Although at the same time I was a very lonely child with undiagnosed and untreated problem, so I don’t like to think about that too much

I had it easier back then, but I don't think I necessarily miss those days. Corny as it may sound, I'm trying to focus on the present to build a better tomorrow so I don't end up feeling like the past was always better.

I miss the carefreeness of when I was a child, how I saw the world then. I miss the human warmth of my grandparents and their stories of my youth, the time spent with them. I miss a time when I had to make different choices that would affect my present ...

I miss the old days, when everyone wasn't at each other's throats for political opinions.

Thought that was always the case.

If you're talking about the 2000s and early 2010s then yeah, I miss my Nintendo Wii and PS3, I also miss my friends from the schools I went to.

I kinda miss living the pre-smartphone times. Like in one hand it's incredible having a device where you do anything in the palm of your hand, but also I miss being able to wonder about something without immediately thinking to myself "I could just take out my phone and get an answer in less than a minute".

Funny enough, also the dilemma of literally every script writer!

I'm happier now than I have ever been. Nostalgia is cool but I was unmedicated, depressed, and really really stupid.

I rescind my earlier statement, Anti be out here spittin in these mean skreets.

But seriously. I wish that time could've stopped in 2008 without the recession, but unfortunately, time is a cruel mistress.

And honestly? As much as I wish that, I don't think it would've stayed enjoyable for that long. Evolution isn't just the idea that we came from monkeys. It affects everything in life, even today.

Humans are the type of creature that we can't stay in the same loop forever, we are too intelligent for that.

We didn't come from monkeys anyway.

The more time passes the more I'm starting to doubt it.

1. Not gonna get into that here, just know I agree.

2. I get that. It seems quite hopeless right now, but idk. I just realize lately that feeling terrible about the situation just makes it worse. Whatever may happen will happen. Gotta focus on the things that you enjoy rather than focusing on the chaos of the modern day. We're all gonna pass on one day anyways, no point in being miserable now.

1. Ignoring the argument about evolution being real or not (guessing that's what your referring to?), humans didn't come from monkeys even in darwinian evolution, but a common ancestor of hominid species, we're actually more closely related to silverback gorillas and orangatans than monkeys when it comes to genetics, then again most people think the neanderthals and denisovans went extinct.

2.What we're seeing is mouse utopia in action, basically humans grow and thrive when difficulty exists, we've had about 80 years now of relative peace and it's going to eventually cause a societal collapse and a dark age, as has happened multiple times in history, this doesn't always mean mindless slaughter and a loss of all technology, but it does usually cause a population bottleneck and a stagnant/declining civilization but as i said this is how history generally works for humanity sadly, we need something to "fight" for, whether that be legitimate fighting, or some kind of cause, if we don't have it, we MAKE one, sadly.

Outside of specific days or events, no. The way the past has been repackaged to sell to us repeatedly and also the way it's been distorted to be portrayed in ways it really wasn't? I'm good. I feel like if you spend too much time worrying about how much cooler x was in "the old days," you're likely missing out on something cool going on now. Appreciate good times, but don't pine for them once they're gone. Make new ones.

We'll be alright. If not then poo. Guess I'm dying early then. Seriously. I get you want to "educate" me and all that but I'm just trying to be positive about all this. People fight too much if you ask me. Like I said to the other guy though. I have my beliefs. Everyone else has theirs. And like I also said, we're all gonna be pushing up daisies one day anyways, does any of this truly matter? But you are right. Don't think I was trying to prove anything you said wrong. I don't want this to become an all night boxing match. I got other things to do. Take care, don't let the negativity rot your mind like I have been for the past 4 years.

Sometimes but not usually. I miss more when the place I live was less developed and had less people. There used to be more forest and people were friendlier. I also miss when it wasn't infested with criminal junkies and you could leave your doors unlocked.

I sorta miss havin shame n giving a fuck. that ship sailed from me in my late teens but I guess when I'm manic I can feel surprise in genuine fits of wildin n not just a jaded shard of glass through my blackened heart (yes think Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night)

I think your misunderstanding what i meant, my entire point was that this is the ebb and flow of the world, if we go against the tide it will be disasterous, if we go with the tide we can weather it and come out on the other side, the point i was making is that the modern system will not last forever, it literally is impossible, this is neither a good or bad thing and depending how we handle it, it can lead us to a better future, or a worse one.

Many people in the modern day think their modern comforts make the world better, i posit a counterargument, i think they can make our lives better, but we shouldn't rely on them as that's a poisoned apple, tastes good at first but have dire consequences as they conflict with human nature.

A example is once you take away a person's feeling of purpose, they will react like a cornered animal to claw it back, my statement is that our modern world has removed the sense of purpose and if we want to change things and prevent the ebb, we need to regain that sense of purpose and goal.
