A few local supermarkets where I live will get imported snacks now and again. One in particular has an "Asian food" section and an "American food" section. This does usually mean that what they stock in these sections is quite a bit more expensive, but they will also reduce the price drastically when they need to clear out unsold stock, and that is when I strike >:D

What imported snacks have you all tried? any favourites? Do you get them from supermarkets, or import them yourself?

Some highlights for me:

I believe these Turtle Chips are from Korea. These particular ones are sweet corn flavour, and I love how much they actually taste like chicken & sweet corn soup.

These cans of sparkling water were actually really nice. Hello Kitty was Strawberry & Lemon, while Kuromi was Orange & Passionfruit flavour. I'm not sure where they were imported from, but they have a big English language sticker slapped over the original nutrition information.

Nork has a place selling them, so it's a little bit of a tradition for me to go at least once before going back, eating huge riceballs and saving the snacks to be consumed the first day of school. Unless it's the red bean cake, that...that didn't last an hour.

One of my favorites is Koh-Kae, it's this Taiwanese roasted peanut snack that I literally cannot stop eating

Somebody donated a still sealed/in date can of chicken peanut and it very good. Smelled like one of those chicken instant Ramen packets and tasted amazing

I will sometimes, there's a store that sells food and snacks imported from Mexico somewhat close to where I live and there's another that sells snacks from Japan, China, and Korea that's a little farther out. I think I've eaten more gansito with pineapple filling than I'd like to admit.... The imported pepsi is great, too.

One of the things I miss most about Seattle is living walking distance from Uwajimaya, the giant Asian market. They had all kind of selection for cooking real meals, but their snacks and candy area always has something cool. Maybe seasonal, maybe for an event or holiday, but it was rare to not walk out there with at least two bags of stuff. Weird kit kats, chip flavors I've never seen anywhere else, and drinks like CC Lemon and Kirin Gogo Straight Tea, every trip was really great.
The closest places I have in Southern California are Daiso stores and they're not markets, so the selection is not as wide. There's a place called Mitsuwa Marketplace in Costa Mesa that's close in scope to Uwajimaya (but not as good!), but that's like an hour's drive on a good day. But maybe it's a good thing that everything is far, my lack of willpower can't handle $70 trips to the store for stuff like that, heh.
