I’m skeptical to say the least, Id find UFOs from fair away to be more of a fascinating and pretty site than overall creepy just because wondering to know if aliens are creatures just like earths animals like apes or octopuses while not entirely intelligent still show some signs of intelligent function but still think and feel the way we do

Like others have said, I think sapient life beyond earth does exist somewhere out in the universe, but that it's unlikely we have made contact.

fun fact: the Roswell crash happened in June 1947, the first transistor (aka the one thing that make basically all electronics possible) was made in December 1947

Yes, the universe is expanding and therefore truly endless, but life is fighting against a very powerful law: the second law of thermodynamics. The probabilities of other intelligent life within the timespan of the heat death of the universe could be so small that we are the only ones. We could be forever alone

As many people have pointed out, there's always the possibility of there being some other form of sentient life but I don't think we'll ever know unfortunately given the scale we're talking about here. It's I think a given that somewhere out there is alien life, even if it's just bacteria or a microbe. I don't believe in UFO's as if such a thing were real, it would be impossible to hide the evidence and suppress it for this long, and there'd be more than just obviously fake low res camera footage only.

I'm a huge alien/supernatural/conspiracy guy, but as an unwilling skeptic where you have to give me some real shit as opposed to some weak stuff otherwise I'm just going to laugh at it.

It is one of the stipulations of the Fermi paradox, so maybe Enrico Fermi? People also call the 'aliens are avoiding us' thing the dark forest theory, not sure who coined that one.

i wasn't trying to prove the craft was non-human that's pretty much common knowledge at this point

Yes and no. Like, obviously I can conceive of the idea of their being extraterrestrial life in the universe, but I need better evidence than an inability to prove otherwise. Like that time cube website, if your best evidence is "you can't technically prove me wrong", then I'm sorry but I need more of the scientific method.
I really think life existing on earth is a lot crazier of a coincidence than people give it credit for, and I think most UFO sightings have more proper explanations for them.

Honestly, I don't think it's a matter of "believing" in UFOs. There's enough reports from pilots and military personnel (ie people who can recognize aircraft and are screened for anything that would cause hallucinations) to say that something is going on.
Are these alien vehicles though? Who knows.

We also can see unidentified submerged object (USO) as well.

I'll also add that even if the Universe is seemingly infinite (yet still expanding which makes me question the mathematics behind it since infinity is supposedly the absolute limit therefore it couldn't expand but physics are not necessarily following the same rules in a quantum way).

Even matter itself is not the most common thing in the Universe and carbon based life needed a specific mix of elements which happened to exist in our planet during a specific moment. If our air was different we may have never existed.

And finally intelligent life that could build tools to allow to go to space is also uncommon, we never witnessed any other species who used complex tools like the hominids which led to us on this planet despite the vast amount of different ones.

Maybe there's a non-0 percent chance that there's another area of the Universe with matter, life and intelligence existing but there's also a non-0 percent chance that we are actually an anomaly, an unexpected factor in the grand scheme of things.


PS: Also Fermi's paradox exists for a good reason, perhaps it's the best idea to not try anything.

There's also 2 other root scientific theories that also throw problems into the mix, the intelligent design theories, either some higher dimensional being or god or something like the simulation hypothesis where our universe is a form of computer simulation completely change everything.

The second one is the "convergence" theory, though i'm not sure that's it's exact name, basically that to reach intellegence EVERYTHING must line up, meaning if you ran into a intellegence out in the cosoms, it would have to be very close to the life on earth because that's the only way intelligence could form in the universe, basically the idea that evolution must take a very strict path and at the end of that, you wouldn't run into alien greys if you met another race, but beings that could be considered of the same genetic tree as us, not only that, you'd also need birds, insects, plant life etc to all line up, basically provided evolution is correct in the process of existence, everything would have to evolve in a very specific way as to be basically a copy of the evolution path earth took, including extinction level events.

I'm asking you why it's "crazy" to assume that there's no life somewhere else?

We used to consider those who firmly believed in aliens to be the "crazy" ones.



My biggest issue about alien believers isn't believing in other lifeforms but some creating sects and other kind of manipulation like those "apocalyptic announcers" and other kind of guru that are gaining from gullible people.

I won't delve too much into that aspect because it could be against the forum's rules but please take things with a grain of salt and don't get manipulated by pseudo-media.
