Do people blend stuff these days?

I have a blender that's actually older than myself, but it hasn't seen any action since I begged my mom to make me licuados de banana (basically banana smoothies) when I was particularly young.

Nowadays, most people I know don't even own a blender and I have always wondered why...

I mean, it's not as essential to your kitchen as, say, a toaster oven or a microwave, but I remember it being more common than this!

Do you even own a blender these days? How often do you use it? What do you make with it?

I used to, with the Magic Bullet. But it lived a happy life, as the motor burned itself out.

I do have a blender, but I don't use it as much as I used to. I used to use it all the time for smoothies and milkshakes using fruit & milk, but fruit has gotten really expensive here lately.

They're not bad for blending spices, or making sauces with though. Although, it can be hard to get the taste of those spices/sauces out once you start using them for that. So I guess you'd probably want separate ones for smoothies and spices/sauces

I had a nutrablender but i accidentally throw it away, however i got a new one. SO DON'T V8 ME!!!
