Hey, my dudes! I’ve got a question for y’all, man. Are Natures, those things that change the stats of your Pokémon, like, a good thing or a bad thing? Do they make the game more stoked and engaging, or do they kinda make it more frustrating, you know?

I like it!

If you care about it, it gives you an incentive to catch a Pokémon that has stats appropriate for what kind of moveset/build you want it to have. It makes building that perfect Pokémon feel more rewarding, imo.

If you don't care about the stats, the stats are negligible and it's cute to have a Pokémon that's Shy or Bold etc, it makes them feel more personal and unique in a way.

They have ruined me!
Because my mind goblins want to MinMax even if I play completely casually, I can't ignore if a caught pokemon I KNOW i'm going to use and has a bad Nature

Probably a hot take but I think they should double down on making the game more unpredictable. I want to bet that my creature is going to win, not to play a simplistic turn-based game.

I think for the majority of casual players their not a big deal and very inconsequential. For the people who are into the more competitive side, I usually hear 2 schools of thought; they add another layer of depth to the game and the other side saying it's one of the worst things they added and is unnecessarily frustrating. Personally speaking, as someone who only briefly dipped my toes into competitive Pokemon (Specifically during Gens 5 and 6), I can honestly say I could do without them lol.

I'd say no. For a very casual player it's a word on the summary screen that doesn't mean anything because you need an external source to know what any of the natures even do, so it's a non factor. For competitive players it's a nuisance to try to catch a mon with the right ability/IV/nature combo. On pokemon showdown it's no big deal so it's cool to have all those choices. But for the actual game I don't like it

Well hunting for the right Nature for a Pokemon can be a huge pain, and even as a Casual Pokemon player you want to have a good Nature for your Pokemons and not one that sucks.Because who wants to have the weaker or even weakest version of a specific Pokemon if he could have the best version of it.
