Almost anything by Platinum Games is a pretty safe bet.
I'll add a criminally overlooked one to the list though - Ghost Rider for PS2. Nothing groundbreaking, but a solid character action-lite title.

• Killer is Dead (Pc, Ps3, 360)

Yoru no Nai Kuni/Nights of Azure is pretty fun, and DMC like... PS3/4 versions...
Only caveat is Japanese only <not a problem really> If you don't mind Translating with your phone or such, but still fun game
