Digimon World (ad)Vice

Gonna start my first playthrough of Digimon world and I was looking for some advice and tips (I also had one oddly specific question).
I'm mainly looking for 2 things:

1) What is the best way to play this game? I'm assuming to use Vice, right? Because I saw there was another mod people seem to like. I know there's something called the curling randomiser but idk whether that's QoL or more like the Dark Souls randomiser? I want to keep it very vanilla but I'm aware there are a lot of issues with the game that will annoy me, so more like "VanillaPlus".

2) What tips or valuable information should I know going into it? I pretty much only know like the very basic mechanics so pointing out any player pitfalls or whatever would be much appreciated. Yenno, stuff like "don't feed you digimon X because it messes up their speed stat" or "avoid Sukemon"

Also, lastly, this is the really specific quiestion. Mainly about Vice specifically. As you may know, there were more versions of Digimon world in JP like these:

Does anyone know if the starters from these ones are available? I think they're much cooler

it's basically like Tamagotchi; but you get infinite retries and stats slowly accumulate from each loop.
it's been a long time since i last played the game, but mainly, just take your time. power up and train your digimon, explore each screen carefully, and be careful at about the halfway point; i remember that a greymon or metalgreymon just shows up once you've recruited enough digimon to expand the city, and you have to fight him. he doesn't leave the main part of the city, so; he will just hang out there forever, terrorizing you.
i think. i read about that once.
just take your time, take care of your digital partner and recruit as many digimon as you can, you get new shops and features in file city as you do.

recruit palmon and coelamon immediately. palmon upgrade your farm, and coelamon open the shop. get giant meat from palmon, sell it. just buy small meat. i don't know about the vice version, but patamon, angemon, leomon and garurumon are playable digimon.
