There’s no Digimon thread from what I’ve seen so anyway here’s my favorite line
I have a Level 51 Crescemon and I have no intentions of letting it go. I’m bringing this line to the endgame.
And I’m playing more of Digimon World Dusk eventually.
If it was cheaper on the sale I have no qualms in saying I would’ve prioritized it, but I’m glad I stuck with getting Cyber Sleuth. I have an entire day’s worth of hours now

Nothing beats the frustration of 100% Lost Evolution.
After completing games like Digimon World 2 Tera Domain (legit) and Cyber Sleuth never in my life i got the idea that the fossil cleaning minigame from Fossil Fighters could become worse.
Also the final mission has the most frustrating bosses that a max stats full team of Digimon can still get a hard time (anyone that played it will know about the trap chest with Imperialdramon PM).
Not to mention the random encounters that made Dawn/Dusk and Digimon World 3 look normal
I always wanted to own the original Digimon World for PS1, but man, those prices are terrible. I did score an anniversary release of the original LCD that's still in it's box (did pop the tab and play with it a bit). LOVED the original anime (really don't get why Season 2 is so hated) up to Tamers
Also, thoughts on Summer Wars? It was done by a lot of the same team as the original Digimon movie
Most of the hate comes from the new kids that are really boring other than Davis and Ken (and for Ken one needs to know about the games that has his brother whole story and got a resume in the anime). Also the very questionable way the final enemy got defeated and the "babies ever after" they pulled in the end

Seadramon is my favorite for sure. The other derivative evolutions of it are also great.
Time Stranger might be my favorite of the Digimon games, as well. That could just be recency bias, though.
Come to think of it, I never did finish Next Order or Digimon World 2 or Digimon World 4. I really aught to get back to those ones sometime.
same, I loved 02 too. I do kinda get the hatred though. There was just too much going on in 02 and as a result almost none of it gets explored or reaches full potential.
Armor Evolution that pretty much turns the old cast obsolete? That could be i- oh they stop using it early on because they all have regular adult forms
Jogress Evolution? Oh that could be kinda- there’s only 3. They rarely transform. You only see Shakkoumon like 3 times ever. Why was this important again?
There’s a third world? Wonder how that’s gonna pan out. Maybe it's going to be a real- they don’t. They don’t explore it in the anime.
Chosen children all around the- there’s only 3 episodes of this concept and they’re all one offs
Michael was introduced early on as a chosen child, I wonder if he’ll become- no he didn’t. He did not become a reoccurring character with actual importance.
Only Ken was really explored. 02 should’ve gotten 55 episodes total to flesh some of these concepts out.
Also I did see Summer Wars. I was kinda let down by it. I watched in anime club directly after A Silent Voice and right before we watched Your Name so that kinda screwed it over for one. But even if that wasn’t the case, I thought it was good but not really great.
Side note: do any of you see the spoilers because I can’t except for when I edit this post lmfao
OK even on PC I can't actually see them, I am not losing my mind

This too, big problem is that they're a watered down version of the previous season's cast and it really holds them back. When the most unique characters besides Ken are just two characters that were straight up in the last season, you know its BAD
They really should've explored the love triangle between Hikari, Takeru, and Daisuke more because that was the one thing that makes the new cast truly distinct and was a massive missed opportunity for drama. This + the season 1 cast being so prevalent in the show was the nail in the coffin for them, they're just too similar!
Ive been working through digimon next order, time stranger, and the og cybersleuth game :3 tbh im more of a vpet person but Ive enjoyed the games too! Last year I finished the first wonderswan digimon game staring Ryo (cause that whole character was interesting to me and I wanted to follow his whole progression but I need to finish that second wonderswan title too !)
As a player, I miss this series! I have the Vita games in my backlog (both the Cybersleuth titles and also the patched one), I've started the first Cybersleuth / hacked memory (can't remember the right title, the first one anyway) but after a while it felt quite complicated, especially the fact you can evolve/unevolve, unlike Pokemon. I liked it, mind you, but something got in the way (life, another game), so it's still there. I would like to play it again, though.
