If one hasn't ever played either of the games, I'd say, as games, they're worth the time. Absolute master classes in 3D platforming.
Whether on the Switch (2) or anything else, really.

I used think framerate mattered until I played Shadow of the Colossus. Some of the sections in that game run at like 10FPS (The water colossi absolutely EAT the frames). Regardless I still had a great time.

I thought it was a slow motion effect at first, lol.

not a problem on dolphin emu, can set basically anything keyboard/gamepad to do the "motion" and shaking is just a button hold
controlling both P1 and P2 cursors together with my mouse works decently

Deffo not worth it.
They already got me with that limited release bullshit on 3D All-Stars and I barely cared that much about Galaxy in the first place.

If I want to play Galaxy 2, I'll install it on my Wii.

I play them with one Joycon in each hand just like the Wii originals. These games just feel better with motion controls.
