Never had a diary since i only knew it from cartoons and it was mostly for girls, so i dismissed them as girly stuff, now that i am an adult i wonder how many people actually used them

Yeah, I journal every day, if I can. I only started seriously doing so in my 20s, but I find it's really helpful to like infodump from my brain before the day gets started. Helps me identify what's bothering me, what I'd like to do with my time, etc - it's therapeutic, for me.

Nope..
I've always found the very concept excruciatingly difficult to execute to a completely unreasonable degree. Even the concept of "taking notes" is difficult for me..
At least I have really good recall abilities, but it's still a weak-spot that I have no idea how to address. Teachers always just brushed it off as me "refusing" to do this-or-that..

Yeah. I mostly just do it around media I've been engaging with but I used to do it daily. I liked it, but I suck at doing anything daily. And then I fall behind a couple days and it builds up to an annoying task I need to force myself to do to get back on track. I also want to do it while in bed at the end of the day, but it's not easy to write in bed. Also I'm cheap so the nicer journals I prefer add up in price.

I have this mix of a journal and a diary. Everyone says it helps with mental health and I can confirm that it does.

The trick to writing every day (for me) is writing things that make me happy. And doodling :p

I did.

I had to stop because it had quicky become a collection of violent urges and utterly psychotic statements that, nonetheless, I think actually helped getting off my chest.

I used to do that for a year until recently, I couldn't stand doing it anymore since every day was almost the same, now I just write about the days where I feel something worth my attention happens.
I also did some notes on the games that I played each day and that was the most varied part of each day.

I kept a journal for a good while, then when social media became a thing I kind of use those sites for that instead. Not in-depth rants or anything, but rather what I have going on. It's a great way to have a reference for when something happened or where I was when it did. I also take tons of photos which kind of serve as a visual timeline too.
