Did You Ever Mess With "Game Development" Software as a Kid?

Surprisingly I´ve never touched RPG Maker, maybe you could count when I tried the Ps1 version but didn't understand anything on it xDDDDD.
On my childhood I tried Scratch fricking Jr and also the standard Sratch, I learned a lot of it, didn't made something very solid tho.
I also tried Game Maker Studio but never wanted to learn the language cus I only wanted to use the visualcode blocks stuff so all of my pretty much didn´t even launched.
Lastly I've been trying to learn Godot and GDscript but both school and life have other plans for me :(
I used the fuck outta RPG Maker on PS1. I never finished a project, but I did work extensively on a handful of different games.

One was designed to be like a 1v1 Fighting game, but in the engine of the RPG Maker. I decided to make it based on Mortal Kombat characters, with a simple system that let you change characters by adding the character you picked, then removing every other playable character from the party. I had mandatory hallway battles and several various locations, started to have some direction before I quit working on it. 😅

I remember playing around with rpg maker 2000 trying to make a Megaman X rpg. I also messed around with Macromedia flash studio a bit and probably some other ones as well.

I made something like that once; it was supposed to be a multiple-choice RPG made in a slideshow using PowerPoint. I never got it to work right. 😅

I'm technically still a kid until the 24th, and yes I have. I love messing around with rpg maker and making meaningless battles with random sprites.

I've never made anything concrete though, for I am not a creative person.

I'm 19 years, 1 month and 2 days older than you! 😂

The closest may be briefly messing with basic on eighties micros... Pure childish humor though.
Much later( late teen) I messed with Rpg maker 2000, an unfinnished, very illogical piece with the basic Rpg maker assets.

for some reason I enjoyed making turn based games in powerpoint using the animations. though I stopped when I found rpgmaker engine.

Does little big planet count? cause 2 was basically rudimentary logic code.

if not, I dabbled in early game maker for a long while. I recently looked into it again and... it feels way less user friendly now? I also had I THINK an unlicensed RPG maker for PC? I actually had no idea it was supposed to be paid software until years afterword.

I made some simplistic minigames that featured megaman characters, but nothing that wound up even close to an actual game. it was closer to warioware microgame in scope.

RPGMaker XP brings back some fond memories of making silly games with friends.
