GameBoy did anyone played Kid Icarus: Of Myths and Monsters? is this the most forgotten game in the Kid Icarus franchise?

to me, when people talk about Kid Icarus they usually talk about the Nintendo 3DS game, Kid Icaurus Uprising, or about the original NES game, but, to me, little to no one talks about the gameboy title, Kid Icarus: Of Myths and Monsters, is this just my thinking or is this really a forgotten game?

I've played it. It's a fun game, there's nothing negative that I can really say about it, but the NES game feels much more memorable to me.
I've never actually beaten this one. I should fix that.

I had sold off my Gameboy games long ago, but when I stared buying them back, that was one of the first games I replaced. It's a good game and worth playing.

It's actually the only Kid Icarus game I've played aside from Uprising.
It's pretty good for what it is - that said, it's not like many GameBoy platformers (especially ones with large sprites) are remembered for being fantastic games. Worth a shot though.

The entire Kid Icarus franchise in general has been teetering on the brink of being forgotten for years and years now, I'd say. It's like one or two steps above Ice Climbers as obscure oldschool Nintendo franchises go.

compared to the original and uprising? yeah id say it doesn't get nearly as much love to the rest of the franchise

I mean, there's only three games in the "franchise", lol.
They're all but forgotten.

I like this one, though. A proper sequel to the original, IMO.
A DX version would have been rad. A remake like Metroid 2 would have been even cooler.
But, alas...

I played through it for the first time a couple of years back. It's a good progression from the first game and is worth seeing in full at least once.

its a good game worth playing at least once

Oh yeah, I downloaded this on the 3DS VC, and I liked it. It was like a more polished version of the NES game.

It's a weird entry imo:

It tried to be a sequel according to the story yet it felt more like a port of the NES game.

Uprising is also weird: it acted as a reboot for the franchise yet still acknowledge the NES game as if it happened before while ignoring the events of the GB game.

Maybe it's me being convoluted but maybe the timeline goes: KI (NES), Uprising (3DS) then Of Myths And Monsters (GB).
