The Ultimate Gaming Rig was a scam run by one guy. Whang made a video about this and all I remember is there was a revolving door of companies to avoid paying some of the winners. Also the fact that the 3DO and Virtual Boy are included in an "Ultimate Gaming Rig" is hilarious to me.

WOAH!!! that look's like a Compaq Presario 850 Series 3410 at least, it looks like one....
Had one of those ol'girls years ago, but I digress....

Anyway, I entered a few contests like this back in the day, though they were never asking for money to enter. Not that I remember having to send money. I knew it was a rigged scam even then, but I always had a bit of hope, being a poor kid, you know.

No, in fact i never met anyone that won those, they were mere excuses to sell promotional food, that said it was worth special edition food, i remember one to gift PSPs for the release of Monster House where if the cream when licked was blue you won
