Did anyone play the new mafia game? im a big fan of the mafia series i even played the terrible third game, but I've been seeing promotion for old country recently and i wanna know is it worth it. i hope its an improvement on the third game, so lmk was it worth it and should i buy it?

If you like the first 2 its definetly in that direction. Now in terms of small little details like in Mafia 1 or 2. It doesn't offer much. I rec too buy it on sale, its worth at least 1 playthrough since you played the rest.

ahh i see i might js wait for it to go on sale, im willing to play any mafia game that isn't like the 3rd one lol

Yeah, I’ve played Mafia: The Old Country. It’s definitely a step up from Mafia III in terms of story and atmosphere. The setting in early 1900s Sicily is gorgeous and feels handcrafted, and the voice acting is top-tier. But gameplay-wise… it’s kind of hit or miss. Lots of stealth, repetitive knife fights, and not much freedom outside the main missions. If you’re into cinematic mob stories and don’t mind a more scripted experience, it’s worth checking out. Just don’t expect groundbreaking gameplay or open-world depth. I’d say wait for a discount unless you’re really craving that old-school Mafia vibe

Lucky Devolver Games always go on sale, Mafia Remake came out on sale just a couple months after release. So it won't be long. Better than 3 thats for sure.

I play Mafia: The Old Country with nice graphics but somehow nothing special.

After Mafia 3 I just went like nah man im good they can keep their games and I can keep my money.

Its made in Unreal Engine.

Easy skip.

Haven't played a Mafia game since the first one came packaged for free in some magazine way back in the day - had a good time with it back then for sure, decent little open world, fun writing - what makes the third one so different from the others? Or rather what makes it so bad?

its very repetitive, once you play one mission in that game you played them all. Now the story wasn't too bad but the gameplay and character moments felt off and js bad, it didnt have the same attention to detail as the first two games and it was very predictable crazy considering that the mafia games are pretty predictable story wise. An example of when i realized the game was bad was when i was trying to take over a neighborhood and i realized i did all that before in the neighborhood before that and then ill have to do it again in another one. It was like being stuck in a purgatory hell of driving around and sneaking on job sites.
