Did any game ever Catfish you ?

We probably all know the term Catfishing right ? well its normally when your date presents him/her self completely different on a dating site and comes to the date completely different looking if not the whole personality being different to aka Catfishing..

So any experience regarding games may it be the Cover or Trailers of a game you seen and bought the game afterwards just for it to be completely different than it presented itself as,
and what did you feel when you found out was it a positive or negative surprise ?

"Every. Fucking. Time." I said, as I found the game with either cute anime girl or mecha cover, is either rogue, deck-building, and/or SRPG. Already lost count how many times this happen while I'm dumbster diving Steam new release.

I'm fine with SRPG from time to time, but not the other. So much so, I can smell a game if it is the aforementioned genre from just title and cover alone now.

Not being a fan of rogue and deck-building is like the cheat code of getting hate it feels like sometimes.

I've been duped by box arts a bunch of times but it can also go both ways.
what comes to mind that I know of are MGS 2 with the Raiden pull and Booker DeWitt looking more badass on the cover than in game.
