Loved the ps1 version of Diablo, Me and my mates would couch coop the shit out of this. Pc was far superior but having you and a mate talking down the Butcher together with a controller in one hand and a beer in the other was something special. Cheers AlmaElma123.

This Diablo on console is worth a look for curiosity's sake, but be prepared to sacrifice a memory card. If it doesn't eat all 15 blocks, it'll come close. I don't remember much from what little I played, but it's surprising the entire base game is here and controls pretty well with a controller considering it was originally mouse-based.

Now I'm curious if Diablo II and Lord of Destruction could've been ported to PS2...

If you want to play the PC version of Diablo I on your phone, look into DevilutionX which not only supports the Hellfire expansion, it also has touchscreen and gamepad controls!

It did take a full memory card, you would save your game and characters. Pretty sure there was some exploit where you could import characters in and out to get gold, cant really remember its been a long time. I heard they was going to port Diablo 2 to ps2 as well, they might actually be one somewhere since I heard they were going to port Baldur's Gate to ps1 which last year I played it. Its not perfect but it works. Happy Gaming.

The PC version is obviously the way to play, but this was an okay port!

The only bad thing about it in my opinion is those infernal loading times.

Diablo's great... a veritable masterpiece... BUT I distinctly remember this being one of the worst ports I've ever played XD Like if your whole setup works around emulators, I guess this will do fine, but IMO there's less clunky ways to play
But who am I to stop you? If you wanna play it, it works well enough within the confines of the PS1- try it out

The main reason, for me to play the PAL PS1 version of Diablo and not the pc version is the so bad it's good Swedish dub that's unavailable in any other version. :P :D

I personally prefer playing Diablo 1 with The Hell Mod(s) on PC myself.

Also I do NOT remember that UI being a thing in the PSX version at least not here in the US version
