Detective or mystery focused games?

Ok but are those actually playable, or better yet good?
If you take into account that they're for pre-teen girls and they're roughly 30 years old, I suppose they aren't horrible. One of them has a thing where Barbie will say your name after you pick it from a list, and there's probably 500 names on it. That part is cool, at least.

Private Eyedol on the PC Engine CD is a slightly different type of detective/murder mystery game. It looks visually like a Japanese RPG, where you move your character in top down view, but it's an adventure game where you investigate murders you get caught up in as a debuting entertainer. It's a lot like Detective Conan or Kindaichi Case Files, setting-wise, but it's better than the translated Conan games I've played.

Frog Detective! It's super cute and you solve mysteries.
I got the collection on the PS4 a couple years ago and it's a fun time. Each case is quick, about 45 minutes, and it's full of humor.

I would also recommend the Phoenix Wright series or Aviary Attorney.
