Design The Most Annoying Fighting Game Character

  • Hurt box is smaller than the character; hit box is noticeably wider than the attacks.
  • Crouching puts them so low to the floor they duck under projectiles and even some rushdown moves.
  • Voice acting is really bad and they don't shut up for a second.
This could be Scrappy for a Scooby Doo fighting game

I’ll start:

- Zoner archetype
- Tiny character
- Disjointed hurt box on all normals
- Has Morrigan’s Astral Projection
- Can summon a pillar on opponent
- Has a high pitched voice
- Has a burst mechanic, allowing them to somehow be plus during an opponent’s combo
- Best super requires the least amount of bar in the whole game.

How about being invisible? Annoying for both the player and the enemy.

I remember that Black Heart from Marvel Super Heroes could use the Reality Stone to turn invisible for a set period of the match.
 
  • There's always something annoying about characters with odd proportions or overall shape (the less humanoid, the better), so mine will be a crescent moon with sunglasses.
  • His name is as weird as he is: Loony Loveless.
  • Since Loony has no legs, he floats and because he floats, all low attacks will whiff.
  • Loony has a 1-frame reaction time to whiffs, so he will punish every, single whiff.
  • His "fighting" stance has him leaning backwards at an angle so that the negative space of his crescent is facing upwards. Overhead attacks have a 50/50 chance of landing. See previous point about whiffs.
  • Loony has no idea what hit stun is. He will jab you out of block strings.
  • His favorite move is a multi-hit, rolling charge. Because he hovers slightly above most of the roster, it's accidentally an anti-air. He will spam it.​
  • Every rolling charge is accompanied by a sound clip of this guy laughing.​
  • Rolling charge has start-up super armor​
