I always get a little salty about how we didn't the proper sequels for this and I wish it was still possible to make it happen.

They actually made Vile playable, who knows what other crazy things they would have done in the sequels? I would have loved to have seen the new intros for the sequels too.

D4: Dark Dreams Don't Die

A game designed around the Kinect and to be released in multiple episodes, similar to those TellTale adventure games. It was cancelled on a cliff-hanger and likely will never have a follow-up.

Some of the designs looks really cool and the possibility of seeing the war we see in TF Prime but on much major scale makes me want to know more about this 2014 dead online game.

one more reason to hate Capcom and Final Fight Streetwise, Maximo 3 got cancelled because Okamoto forced the team to cancel this, Final Fight Seven Sons and DeVargas to make that god-awful piece of shit

and dude, when I made my Army of Zin opinion, one of the devs debunked that was cancelled because to Army of Zin's ''poor sales'' and actually sold well enough to be Greatest's Hits! and instead was Capcom's awful management that killed Maximo

Scalebound (Platinum Games) would apparently have been a multiplayer character action game where you switch between playing as John character action man protag and his giant dragon. Never went anywhere and Microsoft eventually cancelled it, sadly.
The world could always use more bombastic, dumb fun action games like this.

I will always remember Sadness as the game that I learned the term vaporware from.
Every now and again this game pops into my head, even now. I have no idea what it would actually have turned out to be beyond a horror game with Lovecraftian themes - in fact it likely would have been gimmicky shovelware, third party Wii game and all - but man younger me was obsessed with this announcement for whatever reason.

Just think of what could have been! ... god that trailer looks like absolute shit.

Never heard of this before. The way fantasy meets modern technology seems "interesting" and character seems fun. However too bad Microsoft is not a company that their management has any idea what is a video game, this is why so many of their studios and projects are wasted and will be wasted until they get their shit together..

Never heard of this but kinda black and white silent movie style + horror makes things interesting. It reminds me of a movie I watched long time ago, it was about satan and witches in fictionalized documentary format: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0013257

This movie may have been forgotten however its meme shall live forever!!!:

That movie actually looks really cool - I like the use of colorized film in those snippets on imdb, very atmospheric. Great set design, too! Will check that out later, thanks for mentioning it!

Well then get ready to listen to a lecture about why society feared Satan and what was the deal of witch stuff and what society did about these. But the movie is not aimed to educate you with facts despite it touches upon facts, things goes "surreal" in a good but "too long" way. That's why the movie is not really long but it feels like "living a life" in it lol.

Then I would also recommend this movie: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0016847/

It's an adaptation of an ancient German legend Faust. It's about a man who fails to save his village from plague. Feeling weak despite his devotion to his religion and his "scientific knowledge" he left behind what he hold dear the most before and started to see what he can help his village is devil's power. Learning about this, devil and angel bets on corrupting him despite he is an honest person. The devil gives him superpowers so he try to use it to save his village but because of it people start to dislike him for learning it's just power of the devil therefore he stops trying to be a hero (which is unlike unrealistic aspect of modern movies), he decides to have fun with his powers instead because he realizes you can either make yourself like yourself or whatever you do for people they will likely find an excuse to dislike you in various forms like jealousy or fear. Throughout the movie, we see fundamental aspects of humanity and the movie speaks a lot of truth about humanity despite being a silent movie!!! lol

I don't really trust any current dev to make revive these projects, but if we could somehow go back in time I'd love to see the originals Fallout 3: Van Buren and Baldurs Gate 3: The Black Hound.

Also Troika was going to make a sequel to Arcanum called Journey to the Centre of Arcanum which would have been full 3D and focused on underground exploration. Could have been a great project.

A good while ago the creator of Parappa the Rapper made a kickstarter for what was basically going to be a spiritual sequel to that series a la Ratatan. Unfortunately it ended up flopping and nothing really came of it. It's a real shame too because the studio that was planned to handle the development was iNIS aka the guys behind Elite Beat Agents and Gitaroo man, so there was a real big chance this was going to be a great little game
