Some character issues have been fixed.
The clue items are described (with the help of the game’s documents),
and when you pick up certain objects, the sentence now makes more sense — some phrases were previously reversed.
I'm trying to remove some sprites from the beginning of the game that are in Japanese.
Unfortunately, it's compressed data, so it'll take me a bit more time to deal with that...

Giger's headspace must be fun with the kind of nightmarish visages he conjures.

I downloaded the DOS version of this game off an abandonware site in 2009. It seemed promising based on the screenshots and the HR Geiger art. I was disappointed when I actually played the game. It's a pretty bad adventure game. There's a global timer that is always ticking, and there are multiple soft-lock scenarios. I caved and used a walkthrough eventually. It was still bad. The horror vibes are barely there. Play it for the laughs if you want. The VA from the CD version this translation uses is special.

at last thanks so much

I played this thing back then in my Amiga500. My cousin showed me (he also had an Amiga500) and I was freaking out. I considered that horror when I was 10. It's interesting they translated the thing for Saturn.

Apparently has a few time-based puzzles?

For anyone who doesn't know this game, check out Majuular's YT video on Dark Seed, "Are You Afraid of the Dork?", it's a riot and also a very learned showcase of two very overlooked 90s adventure games.
I am so glad you mentioned Majuular. His video on this and the sequel are great!

Thank you for another unknown interesting game.
this one was talked about a lot and caused some controversy back in the day. this particular port is a faithful looking oddity

Hey someone made a port of this and its sequal to modern Windows versions in the form of the Darkseed Collection.
Here's the link to the creator's website and the internet archive page if you'd like to upload it here for others.

I noticed that the "genre filtering" is messed up, don't know where to report it so I leave this here:

Screenshot from 2025-04-20 23-39-21.png

As you can see the filter is set to "point and click" and what I get is "point and click" genre and pretty much everything else... And it's obviously not because there's only one game in the "point-and-click" (with the rest provided as "default results") "Call of Cthulhu: Prisoner of Ice" is also in the "point-and-click" category but only appears on page 2 of the filtered by genre results.

I played this game when i was just a kid on my grandfather's computer. It used to scare me and i was too young so i never finished it.

AT LAST SOMEONE LISTENED TO MY PRAYERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
THANK YOU FOR SHARING!!!!
