This is one of the coolest things I have ever seen (and I'm so cool, ice literally grows around me >:D).
In the MMO known as "Dark Ages" there's an extremely cool concept called "The University".
What's this whole thing about?
It consists on an in-game activity in which players can just... step up and give classes on any topic they choose, even controlling whether or not to mute the chat while they are at it.
I know it might not sound like much, but it can get surprisingly involved — I have seen screenshots depicting "classes" in which the assembled players couldn't even move, they were packed so tightly!
It's also really immersive, helping to sell the illusion that there's more to this world than just venturing out into the wilderness to slay monsters every couple of hours.
I really wish something like this existed on every game you are meant to be playing lots (and effectively "settle" as your own).
Is it cool? You bet!
Is it original? Hell yeah!
Is it pointless? Surprisingly, no! As far as I understand it, players who attend The University get XP for doing so, much like when they finish any other side-quest.
Kinda wish we could have something like that here... I'd drill the absolute hell outta you all on whatever my latest interest was at the time (currently: SP Sam Landry and her long and bitter battles against both the Longhorns and the Lady Vols) xD
Thoughts?
