Dang ol' King of the Hill Thread

Genuinely one of the best animated series ever made.
The best anime ever created.

For real tho, I've been re-watching it in preparation for the new season with my girlfriend,
It's genuinely incredible. I used to think Office Space was my favourite of Mike Judges works but man, KotH Is charming, dramatic, relatable and above all else consistently good.
Even on season 9 when things slow down, it's still a thousand times better than what the Simpsons has become.

Actually. I'm going to say it.

King of the Hill has always been better than the Simpsons.
It never had an irredeemable decline in quality and the resulting 20+ years of diminishing returns.
And the fact the series has actual character & age progression is refreshing. It shouldn't be.
But we live in a world where the Simpsons has retconned Homers & marge meeting & wedding twice now? That's a travesty.
Turns out a little show from '97 is still taking more risks than what's airing today.

Hopefully Disney learns to diversify it's content after the continuations success.
Not everything needs to be Wakanda forever MCU, what ever in Gods name they did to the entirety of Lucas film's franchises and turning Lilo & Stitch into a foster care commercial. ::badpc

Just give us a down to earth show about families going through relatable experiences.

Oh God, am I nostalgic for Family sitcoms?
I love this video. It highlights just how well the show handled it's characters through a shitpost.

Watch it during college while doing assignments. Was a dang ol great time!

One of those shows that I thought was impossibly boring as a kid, but grew to love as I got older. Bill is probably my favorite

but all the characters have their moments. Something that I found incredibly comforting about the revival is how little the show has changed, at least in spirit and tone

Yeah man I tell you what man one of them snipes last night with that stick 'go twavk twack and go wololooo talk about big mistake man, right there in that cooler

My GF & I finally saw the new season.

It's still got it, and for anyone who's been to University within the last 20 years Willow was a breath of fresh air:
It was always an excuse to get side d!ck ::cirnoshrug

I appreciate Connie & Bobbie's development, especially them both reconciling that their individual life experiences have forged them into different people. They're not the as they were as young teens.
But Bobby lowkey deserves better.

I'm excited for season 15.

The memorial cards for Johnny Hardwick (Dale's VA) and Jonathan Joss (Redcorn's VA) hit harder than I expected.
