Hello, I wanted to talk a game I came across a few month ago and blew my mind when tried it.
To put it simply your protagonist is a magician who also as an hobby of playing (and scamming rich people with) Poker (Texas Hold'em here). After the introduction arc (where you already bet your life at one point) you go on a Titanic-inspired ship for a cruise to a new territory with your sister and your boss (and his talking dog). But after playing some game the first evening, an accident happen and you quickly get told that everyone in the ship have to play a death game of cards until the cruise end.
At that point the inspiration from the infamous Fukumoto's manga serie (and also some dialogues are clearly the kinda ones you can read in his works) and the death games genres of story (the most obvious one here being Danganronpa too). And, as far I played it, the story is really captivating, with it's cast of "quircky but not much" characters and the whole setting where you switch between card games session and investigation around who's behind it.
But the part that I didn't planned to be that succed so much was his gameplay.
To make it simple it start with a turn-based classic hold'em gameplay. But you quickly got the possibility to use special abilities that help you change the pace of the game, by for example being able to reveal an opponent card, make them change their cards, or yours too. You also get a grip about the stress system, where doing some actions or suffer from some opponent actions. And when you got into full panic it make you into doing some mistakes during your actions.
I'm not gonna explain more since I'd also like the ones interested in this game to discover other stuffs by themselves, but honestly it's kinda amazing how a game that look such humble at first did pack so much good content in it !
Also it doesn't cost a lot, for 10€ here at full price (or 4€ right now during sales) you should really give it a try. Especially if you're a Kaiji fan like me !

Also, the game developper is now working on a new rpg game, who seems to be now a somewhat heavily Suda51 inspired horror RPG.
