I want to make a custom splash screen for my SNES Mini, but I can't quite translate the idea in my head into something concrete. I know I want it to be actually SNES themed, but it doesn't have to be related to a game. It could just be the Nintendo logo or something similar, as long as it looks stunning.

What tends to work best for something like this? Is simplicity key? A centered logo, something slightly off center, subtle background details, etc.?
