Vita3k Compatibility (PC): Nothing, doesn't start. The game used to work at some capacity on older versions but as vita3k continues to evolve backwards it doesn't any more.

Stopped working for me when I saved and quit. Can't start it up anymore in vita3k for whatever reason.

Por lo que tengo entendido, son 3 dlcs que cambian un par de cosas durante los minijuegos, uno les da una mirada perdida, otro hace que te llamen onii-chan y otro que cambia el slime de color azul a blanco.

To those interested in english, the 3 DLCs are:
1) Pre-order: this adds an option that makes all the girls address you/the protagonist using "older brother" pronouns (i.e. sibling play).
2) Dengeki (came with an edition of Dengeki magazine): turns slime to white color
3) Guide (will come with the guide/illustration book that will be released on 12/25): causes the highlights of the girl's eyes to fade away as the punishment progresses giving them a blank stare.

Man, I was able to make it work on my Windows laptop. I switched from OpenGL to Vulkan and tinkered a bit with the GPU settings, and it worked perfectly (latest Vita3K update). However, when I closed the emulator and came back later, I realized that Vita3K changes all configurations (main and each game's custom configurations) if you modify a single configuration. So, I reverted all changes to keep playing Tales of Innocence normally, but I wasn't able to replicate the configuration needed for Criminal Girls 2.

It worked again, seems like you need to reset your pc to make it work again if you close Vita3k.

But, it sucks that PC emulator compatibility is still so poor though... Makes the waiting really tough...

The screenshots do no represent the patch cos the game doesn't work on vita3k so I can't take real screenshots.

If anyone want the uncensored version with the voices, the original punishment CG, you need to use the JP version with English patch, that is what I am using in my hacked Vita a few years ago.

I tested this version (PCSB00984) for the time I could, and I can confirm that for me the game starts - works - saves and loads correctly...

Tested on my phone with Android 14 and the latest version of Vita3k.

If anyone want the uncensored version with the voices, the original punishment CG, you need to use the JP version with English patch, that is what I am using in my hacked Vita a few years ago.

I can't remember exactly what reverts. But I think it's the same deal as Criminal Girls 1 so, it restores the "motivation" scenes and all CGs, but it doesn't restore the voices during them.

The game itself is more of the same, and that is a good thing.
Sui best girl. But I also liked Tsukasa a lot, gotta love a motherly choco gyaru.

Did you just apply the patch to the vita3k version? Is this something that RetroGameTalk would host patched?

Same game but different ID usually means is from a different region such as US, EUR or JP. For the most part it doesn't matter on the Vita as it is not region locked like the DS and 3DS, but it does mean achievements and the likes will be in japanese if playing the JP version and dlc will usually not work on a different version of the game either.

Yep, I perfectly know about the regions and all, but often there are games with different IDs even if they belong to the same region: they could be special editions, or revisited versions, etc... it can be a real mess

Just tried the PCSE00916 on pc (Vita3k 0.2.0 3748 on debian 12) out of curiosity, and it does actually start (up until the first punishment, which does not have any pink mist) then I had other business for today and couldn't test moar, so Save & Exit
Vulkan driver crashes the game immediately, but OpenGL *seems* to work fine up until that point.

I guess the combination of different emulator versions, and all possible variations of hardware & drivers & OS make a difference, even for the same rom.

That's why regardless of dot color, I try games anyway. Sometimes I'm lucky, sometimes I'm not. As they say:
