Concept tech demo of a Crash Bandicoot platformer for the Nintendo DS by Wayforward, it only contains two short levels.

If I remember correctly, there was another prototype on this same console that had more open gameplay.

I know this is a very early build but I think this demonstrates that wayforward is only good at 2d visuals

2010 was the reboot era of attempt iconic brand only few survived but some of them hasn't got lucky due to reasons been unknown. I hope one day a PS3 prototype of crash landed will be leaked at least a build way before it got canned. I'm pretty sure was got very far into development. A man can dream.
Earthworm Jim for the PSP comes to mind.

We got a holy grail here, didn't think anything related to this game would ever get public release on internet.

Well, this is a pleasant surprise, didn't think I'd live long enough to see a Crash Landed prototype show up and by WayForward.

Despite being a Technical Demo of this Crash Bandicoot game for the Nintendo DS it doesn't look so bad although for some reason the game was canceled it was because the WayForward team had no faith in this project and that in the future it would be another failure of Crash for the DS as it happened with the Infamous Boom Bang! and Mind Over Mutant that both Crash games were also a failure on the DS both in sales and as well as in reception by critics and players. Although Crash of the Titans, although it was not a perfect game, at least it was a pretty decent Crash game for the DS, despite being a completely different version from the rest of the versions of the game itself.

Cool redesign, it looks like a teletoon cartoon.
