Hi everyone, hope you are having a great day/night.
I've been playing the goat splinter cell, and thought about what to play after finishing it. I can play other games in the series but I get burnout easily. I played others a little until idk what happened I didn't continue, maybe my saves had a problem, I don't remember.
I would really like some cozy jrpgs in platforms like pc , gba , psp, ps1, ps2.
Thanks for your help everyone.

For me, a cozy game is one incredibly comfortable and feels like a warm bath to play. Something that feels like a cup of warm cocoa on a cold day. This of course doesn't mean it's toothless, but rather relaxing to play.
  • Grandia (PS1/Saturn)
This one is just fun. The visuals are nice. It feels like an adventure and has an interesting combat system.
  • Final Fantasy IX (PS1/PC)
I play this one for like an hour before bed. I like slapping skills and equipment on my characters. It also has a really charming art style and a decent story.
  • Rune Factory (DS/PC)
An RPG/farm life game. There's something really relaxing about having a farm sim and an RPG to keep things interesting. My personal favorite is 3. 3-5 are on PC.
  • Golden Sun (GBA)
This game has very nice presentation. I can't remember much of the story but I remember playing it and having a really good time.
  • Dragon Quest (Any PS1/PS2/PC)
These games are super comforting to me. The presentation and art hard carry these games for me. Depending on the game, the RPG mechanics just work really, really well (especially XI's). VII is on the PS1 and VIII is on the PS2. XI is on PC.
  • Lunar Silver Star Story
Again, another comfortable one. I feel like I'm playing a fun cartoon every time I turn it on. This is another one with really nice visuals and feels like an adventure.
  • Digimon World (PS1)
Relaxing if you have some companion guides to avoid the frustrations. It's kinda comfortable to raise your own digimon and run around and recruit new ones into your little digimon village.

Hmm I would say me personally, FF8, the music alone does it. I mean c'mon:

Good luck with whatever you choose.
these osts, sound so good, yeah i completely forgot ff8, thanks, which version you would recommend the og ps1 or the remastered, even the old pc version?

yeah you're good to start anywhere. Some have related characters/plots but you can start anywhere. Dragon Quest was called Dragon Warrior in the west until the ps2 with Dragon Quest VIII.

Ah, eu nunca joguei nenhum deles, por qual devo começar?
BomWell, I think you should start with Yu-Gi-Oh! tag force 1 In the Yu-Gi-Oh! GX anime game, you battle and make friends, and you have to befriend the characters to progress in the story. You have to give them the foods they like, battling for various things.

OK that sounds interesting, thanks for the help.

Final Fantasy 12, provided you don't find the battle system too obnoxious, is like peak 6th gen immersion. The world is so rich and full of detail, and the soundtrack is nothing short of phenomenal:

Grandia on the Sega Saturn is as cozy as you're gonna get.

Notable mentions:
Golden Sun
Super Mario RPG
Shining The Holy Ark
Final Fantasy 9
Chrono Trigger
Skies of Arcadia

I like the sound of it, don't worry, I like to try new stuff, I didn't play games with this style of battle system, who knows I might like it, and for question which version is the best the ps2 version or ps2 with the job system stuff or the pc?

I'd say the optimal version to for a newcomer would be the Zodiac version, regardless of platform. It has the newer Job system which is arguably better than the license system from the original version.

The PS2 version has a super sexy depth-of-field effect that makes the game look really good that's gone in the later versions, but in general I'd say go for the Zodiac version that's the most accessible to you ::terriermon-happy

Allright, thanks for the help. Might go for the ps2 version less space, might run better on my system as well, and I like depth-of-field.
