Weird covers for the Bust a Move series but only in the US. Also i always thought it was a weird title for a puzzle game because busting a move always made me think of dancing which is what the Bust a Groove series was. Talk about confusing.

I swear, the main reason I never checked out the super famicom much is because I hate how the international covers look. They're awful, sorry, they remind me like of something out of pizza planet from toy story

Now this is more like it, I would love to collect them
Full room for the art to shine, marketing fluff kept to a minimum, no stupid borders, full room for the art to shine

All you need is the ninendo logo and the publisher, the occasional game code is unnecessary but unintrusive; it's still so unmistakably super famicom because of the shape of the box and that fantastic logo that Screams at you "This console has COLORS"

Arrow Flash for the MD - cover art by Takashi Akaishizawa - super cute protag and beautiful use of color as per usual from this artist. Akaishizawa's work is also featured in Phantasy Star Adventures where he did the cover art and character illustrations.

Beast Warriors for MD - this cover features a figure sculpture by the late Yasushi Nirasawa who's other works include creature designs for Kamen Rider and Shin Megami Tensei IV. The booklet for this game also features fantastic artwork of all the monsters and trainers as well as a short comic explaining the game's setting.

The eye was sort of an unofficial series logo for a while

There's something about it, unconventional, intriguing

ESP Ra. De. is such a swaggy shmup from Cave. I'm a huge mark for them, but god, I wish more of their re-released stuff would make it to the states.

Great posts some real gems here. We should do an instruction manual one too. Really want to see that beast warriors manual now!

I'm surprised nobody posted any Mega Man covers.

My personal favorite is Mega Man & Bass SFC cover:
Mega Man & Bass Super Famicom cover

It just has that aura of "coolness", for the lack of better word, that no other Classic Mega Man cover has.

It was drawn by Hitoshi Ariga, otherwise known for Mega Man Megamix/Gigamix mangas.

Other covers I like:
Mega Man Legends 2 Japanese cover
Rockman 5 Complete Works cover
Mega Man Star Force 3 Black Ace American cover
Mega Man Legends Japanese cover
Mega Man X4 Japanese Saturn cover
Mega Man The Wily Wars Japanese cover
Mega Man X7 Japanese cover
Rockman Power Battle Fighters cover
Mega Man Battle Network 2 Japanese cover
Mega Man Zero 3 Japanese cover

Found this funny East vs West post on X
