Could you recommend me good mecha games?

TBH the only negative review should be cared about is whatever bugs people reporting, not even "it runs sucks". Can't imagine not playing a game because a random person on the internet that I never even saw just says "wacky control". And "bad voice acting" is just lol. If I had cared about it I wouldn't even watch American movies lolol. American English is just weird for me.
None of this came from internet reviews, this is from watching G4 when I was like 12 and that being my only interaction with the game for years because it was never at my Blockbuster.

Sentences that age me as I write them.

never played it, but my classmate/friend never shuts up about Super Robot Taisen: OG Saga Endless Frontier. dont know if its good, never checked. dont even know if its mecha lol, im just guessing by the name
Yes it's easy to be confused by this. Despite the name, Endless Frontier isn't a mech game. It's a JRPG with an action-based battle system similar to Valkyrie Profile or the attack segments of Namco x Capcom. I don't know if the mechs that show are directly controllable or are just summon attacks. Either way I don't think it fits what TC wants.

@SuperSaiyanTao can you be more specific about what exactly you want and what level of hardware can you run? For your Macross question, I can tell you that the PS2 game is playable despite the language barrier. You just need to figure out the controls which shouldn't be too hard if you know the source material.

Recently, I’ve been playing a game I really enjoyed as a kid, and it still holds up: Metal Warriors for SNES. I think it’s pretty well-known now, but back then I rented it on a whim since it didn’t even have a label on the cartridge, just the name written with a permanent marker.

I probably expected something like Gundam Wing: Endless Duel, but Metal Warriors turned out to be a really pleasant surprise. Anyone have a mecha game they still hold dear? Maybe someone knows another hidden gem. The genre definitely has its fans, but it’s still pretty niche.

Third person shooter for the PSP where you pilot some Universal Century Mobile Suits from the Gundam series
Gundam Battle Tactics
Gundam Battle Royalee
Gundam Battle Chronicle
Gundam Battle Universe
Gundam Assault Survive

For the SNES have you tried
Assault Suits Valken /Cybernator
Front Mission Gun Hazard

- My favourite mecha game:

Buy mech, customize it, enjoy cyberpunk situations and listen to kick ass soundtrack!!! In this game imagine me entering da arena and swinging my giant katana and cut mecha into pieces and activate my invisibility tech to go away from the crime scene lolol.

- My favourite Armored Core game:

Tons of customization and pew pew mindless mecha action fun!!!

- I'm stretching but I love the way how life sim RPG with "mecha"-like vehicle you can pilot in this game:

- I'm stretching it a lot further and say I really loved when HAWKEN was online. Me still crying an ocean!!!:

But good thing it's playable with bots via "Hawakening".

Never forget the Battle of the Somme and HAWKEN!!! lolol

I LOVE MECHA! I mean, just look at my profile pic, that's supposed to be me cosplaying as Domon from G Gundam xD

And for my favorite mecha games, I'm going to choose the following:

Gundam Breaker 3 (Vita): I love the customization, creating your own Gundam is really fun and, while I prefer Breaker 2's campaign, I think that Breaker 3's campaign isn't bad, just a little repetitive sometimes.

Tech Romancer (DC): basically a Super Robot Wars game made by Capcom, it's a great homage to several mecha shows, the graphics are good, the soundtrack is great, I like most of the stories, and you can play as Jin Saotome from Cyberbots too! I'm so sad it wasn't ported to PCs with the recent collection... ç.ç

Super Robot Wars J (GBA): this game. THIS. FREAKING. GAME. This game was one of the catalysts for my transformation into a mecha fan, thanks to SRW J I discovered Mazinkaiser, G Gundam, Tekkaman Blade, Nadesico, and the game is GREAT! Probably one of the better gateway entries in the Super Robot Wars franchise, not being too hard but not too easy either.

Metal Bringer (PC): one I recently finished, and I had a blast! Metal Bringer starts kinda slow, with you having access to a Labor (basically a android body) and having to deal with Arms (the giant robots) while using whatever you can find at the time (so... heavy machinery), but with time you can get A LOT of good pieces to use, you can create your own Arms to explore the randomly generated areas and destroy the enemies in seconds. It is a time sink, but I highly recommend!

For honorable mentions I'm going to say Super Robot Wars: Original Generation (GBA) for introducing me to the SRW franchise and Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner (PS2) that I love it even if I played the PS3 version without any patches.

D.I.C.E from PS2 is the best non-Banpresto mecha game i have played

I second any Gun Hazard/Cybernator ever since i used to play ZSNES

Gundam Endless War is a great fighting game in par with Cyberbots on PSX

In The RPG aspect Metal MAX is the closest i have to play a TTGL RPG

My absolute favorite is Virtual on.Other mecha favorites are:
Custom robo
Little battlers experience
Gotcha force
Front mission(up until 4)
Custom Robo and Gotcha Force could be considered mecha? I didn't think about mentioning them before because y'know, "but they are smaller than humans" and all that jazz.

BUT THEY ARE AMAZING! I personally LOVE Custom Robo, that game is a underrated masterpiece and I love it \o\

Metal Bringer (PC)
Did they ever patch the bug that made allowed the game to generate impossible puzzles? I don't think I'm going to touch it until that's done away with.
The Vision of Escaflowne
Didn't even know that existed. Still, I can't read moon runes, so it doesn't change much for me. How good is the mecha combat?

I can´t recommend the Zone of the Enders games enough, Bulk Slash is also one of the best Saturn games ever. Robotic Alchemic Drive (R.A.D) is both cheesy and really fun.
