Copyright is stupid

lol

we can talk about copyrights lasting too long, sure, but small artists would get steamrolled so, so much harder if copyright law didn't exist.
Because they already aren't right now?

Not like they would be if copyright didn't exist, no. y'all are advocating for some shadowrun shit lol. Everything would be subsumed by large conglomerates with no chance of resistance and no method of resource. No point in writing a book/making a game/creating anything unless you plan to only allow it to be viewed by yourself, because a company with access to far more efficient methods of distribution just steals it and spreads it before you have a chance.

Hey guys, faceless corporations need their billions of dollars just like the rest of us.

There was also the case of Namco patenting (I believe) the ability to play games during video game loading screens, hence why no one else ever did it.
A funny story regarding this.

Did you know that Crash Bandicoot: The Wrath of Cortex had a loading minigame?
