Cool upgrades for consoles

I just won a kit to increase the battery life of the 3ds XL by 3x. Really hyped, I like upgrading consoles. I got vcd for my Saturn, but that isn't as cool. Anyone know other cool console upgrades?

I don't know if you can call it a upgrade per say but Jail breaking your Ps3 is a massive improvement for the Console..I can't imagine ever going without it again.

Em besides that I did not to it yet maybe I will in the future if I get the money somehow.
Upgrading the hardware/storage on your ps3 which comes in handy if you want to port all your Ps1 games on the console.

Xbox ram upgrade which I didn't get because it's too expensive for too little. You can get better looking games if they are patched, better performance in homebrews, playing beta builds made for dev units, a couple of Chihiro games, and that's it? Retail game performance is unaffected.

I'm not sure if it counts as "upgrade", but I can't think of playing on my Switch without one of those soft covers that give the rear part of the console the shape of a controller. Same with Vita and 3ds, though I played a long time without them.

Not technically an upgrade by itself, but the PSvita had an adjustable CPU and GPU frequency, and most games had predetermined target clocks despite their poor performance, that was made in an attempt to increase battery life. With a Hacked PSvita you could increase those clocks to their max something which could really, really help some of the less optimized games of the system.
In later versions of the software you could also overclock the Vita, which was a bit risky but you were allowed to try if you were ok with the risks.

I have one of those hori grips for my Vita and it's a game changer.

If you haven't modded a RVL-001 (Gamecube-compatible) Wii and installed a SD card and a ~1 TB HDD encased in a compatible enclosure yet, then you're truly missing out.
However, I do really want a PSXMemCard Gen2, an official network adaptor, a SATA upgrade board, and a ~1TB HDD for my phat PS2 though.

Wide GBA with a lit screen for sure. I find it more comfortable to hold than the SP so being able to actually see the screen is nice.

Where did you get that from? I've been wanting to get a new battery for my old 3DS but I don't trust 3rd party batteries much since I broke my DSi

I've been having issues with mine, some games are freezing and others are not. It's really annoying. Always the games u really want to play that freeze lol. My Saroo for the Saturn is also having that problem.
