Controller Reaction Tester Accuracy

Hey everyone,

I’ve been using a controller reaction tester to check my reflexes during gaming, but my results seem inconsistent. Some times my reaction time is very fast, and other times much slower even though I feel I am performing consistently.

I wonder what factors affect accuracy the most. Could it be the polling rate of the controller, USB lag, or the software itself?

Has anyone experimented with different setups to achieve more reliable results?

I would love to hear about your experiences, tips, or any tricks for interpreting reaction time scores correctly.

I'd imagine for consistent results you'd want a known good (probably wired) input device and a high refresh rate and low latency monitor. The monitor would have to be pretty damn bad to be noticeable in a casual real-world setting imho but if you're actually looking for the lag it might make a difference.
