PC Command and Conquer source code released.

Honestly surprised that this happened. The evil overlords must be asleep while the people in the actual C&C workshop decided to do this.

Also, it does feel like it's them throwing the title in ever making more C&C games. At least they also gave us the pretty good remasters before this. Even if we also won't ever get C&C2/RA2 since they lost the source files.
 
Pretty big CnC fan here; Jim Vasella and the remasters have been the best things to happen to the series in a VERY long time. To my knowledge, big daddy EA had little to do with it and was likely due to the efforts of Jim and the community team. Its always nice to see new life breathed into these games, and with the 30th year anniversary coming up this year, maybe we'll see something else nice?
 
I guess it just means it wasn't worth the lawyer cost to re-license or arbitrate fair uses. The IP is still secure anyway if I understood correctly.
