Collection Holy Grails

I never finished that game. Maybe I'll play it this weekend.
I really feel like at the time, if it had different designs, it would've been more popular. All the enemies look kinda silly but the areas are fun to explore for a light 3D platformer of that era. :)

Must not be too many, or I've never seen them anyway. Just because the few Switch games I have with reversible covers all still have the red spine.
Yeah it really depends on the game, the region you get it from, and which version you buy as some games will have a "retail" release and a special one from a specific publisher (like ININ Games for titles like Wonder Boy Asha in Monster World). Sometimes it's a first print thing too like with Sonic X Shadow Generations or releases that come from a box set. You have to go out of your way a bit to get some of them but I think it's worth it.

I've been collecting Switch games for a while so I'll try and post a few that I know of:

Not a reversible, just a misprint

Maybe I just have to look through my collection a bit more then. I have a bunch of Switch games too, but most of the reversible covers I am actively aware of are for my PlayStation games.

I did get Sonic x Shadow, but for PS4 :loldog

Posted this in the other thread, these with my Neo Geo AES.:

"Oh? You like KOF and SNK eh?" Why yes, yes I do.

Yes, whenever I can, if I'm really hyped for a game I'll get the special editions if possible. Got others for PS2, Gamecube, PS 3, too lazy to get em out.

I'd gotten the digital of this and forgot I had this.

The white whale for me is Dracula X for the Turbo Duo. I don't even have a Duo, but if I ever found a complete Dracula X, I'd then buy a Duo and other stuff. I don't give fuck about the cost. Yeah I got the PSP version, emulated this and the PSP, etc. I'd like to own the real thing.

I remember having fun with that one, but I returned it because I got stuck on some weird wind fortress level.
The dude shouting "Continue!" in the tutorial is etched into my brain but I barely remember the game at all. You kicked a lot, right?

I used to rent this all the time as a kid. I would love to add this to my collection, but I am not paying over $200 for a copy.

I want a Vectrex.

It's a 1982 game console with its own built in CRT made to display only vector graphics. They way it draws the graphics works a bit differently than a regular CRT. It gives things a super unique look. They're pretty rare and expensive. Would be super cool to have.

You could do melee, yeah. Some punches and kicks and when you finally wore an enemy down, it would go into slow-motion while they fell back. Then you had the boomerang thing that doubled as a hair clip. Later on that would get like a first-person view where you could control it for some puzzles too. There were those weird little pink blob things that you could kind of lure around areas to open paths and stuff. It wasn't the most complex thing in the world, but it was pretty fun.

That said, when you say "weird wind fortress level" I think of multiple spots, so they maybe did rely on wind a little too much overall, heh.

So I am also someone who likes Zelda themed 3ds models like Tonberry. This one has the coveted dual IPS screens that only certain models were shipped with, and is also hacked

I also have this model

I also have this variant cover, only 100 exist. Literally the only game I keep in an acrylic case.

So I just recently got into the Sealed Video Game scene and got a few games I'm planning on grading.

Personally, I plan on keeping my Copy of Tatsunoko vs Capcom when I grade it, but I'm planning on trading my Halo and Perfect Dark when I grade them in order to get other games that I really want in my collection.

Tatsunoko vs Capcom is my personal holy grail because it was the main Wii Game I played for years, and I still play it to this day. The sentimental value of it exceeds whatever Dollar amount you could slap on it.

So I leave the discussion to you guys. What is your personal Holy Grails? What would you want the most in your collection if money was no object? Maybe it's a crazy rare game, maybe it's just outrageously expensive, I want to know!

Without limits I want everything, all games both physical and digital, arcade machine and mini console, ROMs or otherwise... all.

Realistically I just want this:
the-legendary-x-men-arcade-machine-1992-v0-9ia23bfz08jc1.jpeg

I want original copies of the first 5 Touhou games on the PC-98 that Amusement Makers released from Comiket 52-55. I don't even care if they are on floppies and I could easily make sticker prints of the cover art for each of the floppies. Those are my personal Holy Grails for collection.

First thought was this behemoth:

I have none, but I'd kind of like to have them all even though they're absolutely colossal.

Gran Turismo 5 when I had a PS3.
So legit I can't find GT5 in the wild unless it's GT5XL. I have to order it online or go to a trade show for it. I was able to find a GT5 Prologue though which was neat.

I would love a physical copy of Dicing Knight Period, but it goes for like US$2000, so...
