Hello everybody.

I finaly got some artbooks from games I've been playing and it got me thinking: What kind of memorabilia people often collect?

I, myself, prefer artbooks since I love concept art but I think they are pretty niche

I don't pursue such collections but admire those like you that have the drive and care to do so.

If I could rewind back 5 years ago, I would have these relic of a posters from my old arcade.

I have a few. A couple Fire Emblem art books, a few posters, and some of my Miku figures are Project Diva tie-ins.

I like to collect a lot of different things, but when it comes to games I try to limit myself so I don't lose focus. I try to "only" buy physical games, consoles and artbooks. If I come across some other memorabilia I might get it, but I'm getting dangerously close to running out of space for this stuff lol.
(also happy to see another Mega Man Star Force enjoyer!)

I'm pretty proud of all the PS2 game manuals I managed to keep around from my childhood. I love games on disc that came with manuals, it's such a lost artform. Devs often put genuine effort into it, with original art and sometimes characters from the game commenting on mechanics. I don't have a PS5 but I think i've heard manuals coming with a game in the case isn't really done anymore.

All depending what it is. Currently collecting the SF figures from Jada toys. KOF figures from Storm Collectables. If its KOF I automatically buy it. Hardly ever see KOF merch of any kind in the US. Yes even the sodas. Did NOT enjoy that sea salt flavor. No sir. Couldn't find Kyo, Iroi, or Mai's cans.

I have a handful of things where I just happened to be on a site at the right time, but never really sought out anything: a Fallout Tranquility Lane watch that's one of the numbered first batch, a few sealed Vault Boy of the Month shirts (red for pyromaniac, I think there's a radiation one that glows, etc), and I forget what else, but not much. Some Club Nintendo stuff from like a decade or more ago... two small decks of what I think are Animal Crossing hanafuda cards, but I never opened them, and an Animal Crossing poster of all the villagers or something, but there was a printing error so they had to send a corrected one as well so I have both. It's all in boxes back home though.

I love artbooks, I'd love to have videogames manga like Metroid

Figures have always been my preference for memorabilia. They feel a bit more interactive for me than artbooks that end up on my shelf, though I definitely see the appeal of having physical forms of pictures that you love. I'd like to grab some more posters when I find official sources, too.

I'll be honest I thought the idea of collecting game merch was cringe like my anime fan art collection phase but now that techniques have gotten more refined and my wallet more abusable I will collect what I love. I'll collect soundtracks, art books and old promos but no sealed copies, I plan to love any media in my hands and leaving it unused is leaving it unloved.

I have a small collection of game artbooks but they've gotten prohibitively expensive for the most part, especially the Japan-only ones. Other than that I don't really collect merch.

I collect a little bit of everything. I have a few art books, figures, and soundtracks. Most recent purchase was this though:

Yes, I collect as much as I can. It’s a great pastime. Toned it down recently to save money but would love to come back to it. ?

Appeal, or apparel? Just checking to make sure! I have a Silent Hill 4 hoodie, but its faded now. ::sadkirby
