Code Lyoko

I loved it! But it wasn't broadcast fully in my area :(

i remember this show. i was binge watching this and it inspired me to come up with a story with a similar premise. i need to get back to work on it.

Yeah I used to love this show. One of my first crushes as a kid was Yumi from this show. Come to think of it, I really liked Android 18 from DBZ around this time as well. Guess I used to have a thing for girls with big ass foreheads when I was a kid ::sailor-embarrassed

Yes. I kept up with it every time there was a new season. It got really good when Alita became more active in the story. Then they had William, he was like the 6th Animorph who betrayed the rest of them. There were some cool swordfights with him. XANA was a cool bad guy too. Being able to not only screw things up in Lyoko but also in the real world made him a real threat.

This was my first exposure to French animation and I'd say it's still good even to this day. I watched it on YouTube a while ago (yes, it's all on YouTube officially) and enjoyed it. Also that theme song goes hard.

I enjoyed it, even if it wasn't my favourite work of French animation. ::winkfelix

I have always been interested in seeing the live action series
It kept the artstyle of the the cartoon
Lovingly re-created the locations as real word sets
And that's because it's not a reboot, it's season 5.
Those are the same characters from the animated series.
Mixed media taken to the extreme. I respect the heck out of it.

Although the Original series writer doesn't consider it canon.
She also doesn't like the 4th season either as she departed after season 3 and it didn't follow her script bible.
I'm a bit of a purest when it comes to any work continuing on after the original creative team has departed.
It's disrespectful at best and an irreversible decline in quality at worst. Oh hi RWBY. ::badpc

But I should give the live action show a shot.

Everything I've heard about the live action show was never good but I've never heard it referred to as "season 5". Didn't know about the Original creator leaving after season 4 either. I honestly didn't notice much of a difference in quality. Maybe another watch through would help me see that.
