CIA file emulation

Hi guys, im new here and I am trying to emulate Monster hunter 4. I have the decrypted CIA file but I dont know what I should do from here to finish it and get the emulator working?

Any recommendations for converting a file to cci, tried it with the software they gave me and it gave me an error specifically saying "unsupported/failed"

If you've already decrypted the file, all you really have to do is add it to a folder and define it as a game directory through Citra.

Unhelpful as it is, I always found 3DS emulation to be pretty frustrating and less than functional. I eventually gave up and softmodded an actual 3DS (well, 2DS, but whatever) which was infinitely simpler.

I alternate between citra and azahar when this happens, though im on android whuch uses different forks so compatibility isn’t always the same.

If you're using Azahar or a Citra fork it's usually as simple as doing file -> install CIA -> select the .cia file -> wait for it to be added to the "Installed Titles" menu. If you've already decrypted the .cia you won't need to convert it further - .cia is usually the last step in the process after you convert a .3ds file (and you usually have to decrypt the .3ds file before you can convert it to .cia anyway, although I use a tool that is pretty old at this point so maybe that's changed).

You also do this to install DLC and updates.

As much as I would love to softmod my old 3ds I had to throw it out after the battery exploded acid all over the parts.

I tried doing this and it loads a bit but doesnt install the actual file, or if it does idk where to access it
