This Hack was released in 2008 by the Kajar Laboratories Team on Chrono Compendium to tell the story of what happened to Magus in-between his boss fight at fiendlords keep and when the party meets him again in Zeal in Chrono Trigger. They used it to get their feet wet before they went and made Chrono Trigger: Crimson Echoes, which was then later reworked into Chrono Trigger: Flames of Eternity Source on Chrono Compendium All Images including the featured Image were graciously provided by Zeality, The Moderator of Chrono Compendium.

Oh, cool. From the title, I was thinking it'd be another attempt to further tie Chrono Trigger into Chrono Cross, when every connection between the two just makes each respective story worse.
...it's partially that, and it's made by the creators of the most extensive attempt. But they have all changed their mind and believe the same as you do now. You can see for yourself in the Chrono compendium.

You know Flames of Eternity? It's a bastardized fork that the original CE devs had nothing to do with. New devs ruined the dialogue. If you want "authentic" CE there's a 95% complete version floating around that is often mislabeled as the 98% or 100%. There is no 98% nor is there a 100%. You can tell you have the 95% by when you're in the debug room in the beginning for a moment then it fades out to the "true" beginning like a cutscene. Watch out for the unplayable alpha version! If the debug room doesn't fade out then that's the one you've got!

This is a very interesting hack. It doesn't add much to the overall story of Chrono Trigger, but I think it's still worth playing for the fun speculation on what might have happened in Zeal before Crono & the gang showed up. I just wish it wasn't trapped on old emulators like ZSNES. Last time I played thru it, I couldn't get the emulator to go to proper full screen.

"1995-08-11 (17 years ago)"? x¡D? I guess 17 years is the hack's age, right? :d? Because 1995 is like 30 years ago, bro, haha! x'd/ Lookin' at the "Flames of Eternity" page, where the game was shared by Guy Sensei, alias Spike, he wrote in the Game Information the release date of the original game: "1995-08-22 (30 years ago)", and then in the Description of that hack, he wrote its respective release date: "Nov 10 2014", :d. You could do the same to avoid confusion in our nuked minds, bro, :').

Btw, and about our nuked minds, there's a voice saying:

"Crimson, crimson, crimson, crimson... Echoes, echoes, echoes, echoes... Itsu? Itsu? Itsu? Itsu?... When? When? When? When...? :'v?"

But that voice should add: "Completed, completed, completed, completed... version, version, version, version", I think, v':¿

file doesn't exist error
fixed, hopefully (fingers crossed)

Does this hack include this crash fix?:
i asked him, he said he's pretty sure it does but its been so long he doesn't remember for sure, but you are using a super old version of snes9x it shouldn't be a problem anyways
