How strange, I'd swear I played the AGTP translation like 10 years ago (yeah, back when Gideon still gave a fuck about finishing his projects) and could play the game from beginning to end with no problems. It probably was in 2013 or so.

Nevertheless, I'll give this one another try. I remember closec to nothing about the story, but I found it enjoyable. This one and Legend of the Double Moon were two of the best DQ clones on the nes.

Inaccurate emulators could ignore a lot of slipshod solutions that current ones won't, that's probably the reason.

Such a great game. The autobattling algorithm is way smarter than it was in the DQ4, imo.
