No word of a lie, but when I was little kid I was a big fan of Pikmin but the Pikmin death sound used to genuinely upset me to point I would actually turn the GameCube off and had to stop playing for a bit. I then made it my mission to never have to hear that sound again. Every time I'd play Pikmin 2, I would hit the reset button anytime one was about to die, didn't matter if it was only one, I wasn't letting a single one go. Eventually, this constant trial and error caused me to become so good at the games that I can still to this day beat Pikmin 1&2 without losing a single Pikmin.

Thank you, Pikmin, for teaching me the value of life.

That's a great anecdote.

Now I was curious for how they sound like dying so I searched for it and found a great ASMR video to sleep myself with!!!:

lolol

I personally liked it better when videogame characters couldn't talk back at all, but this is golden ;D!

It almost feels like an Union thing we see in media, the kind where grandparents tell their children about horrible working conditions and then tell the younger generations how much better they have it now.

Mario and Sonic would go on suicidal runs on lava pits and underwater; meanwhile... New characters have invisible walls and shit ;D!
