Yes, it was a dead stat. I believe the same happened in vanilla Dawn of Sorrow as well, incredibly enough.

luck never worked? well i'm pretty pissed then because when i was farming all the souls to max i had the highest luck i could get... whoops!

Yeah, it doesn't work in the unpatched game. Dawn of Sorrow on the DS has the same problem.

Yes, it was a dead stat. I believe the same happened in vanilla Dawn of Sorrow as well, incredibly enough.

Oh it's so nice that the soul orbs don't seek. I lost a ton of rare souls my first time playing because I would leave and enter a room grinding, and when I finally got the orb drop I went out of the room by muscle memory before I absorbed it lol.

I believe that Luck at 99 in This Romhack from CAoS gives you a Free Item after defeating such an Enemy that stands in the way of Soma Cruz.

I was going to post about luck not even working in this game but the romhacking page gives more details that a hack that fixes that is also part of the patch.

Yes, it includes other patches to make sure luck works properly.
