Some of the soundtrack is mindblowingly good music, I've listened to it for years. But even as a person who has played and loved a hundred scrolling shooters, I never tried to play this game because I don't like the art aesthetic.

[Hums several beautiful triumphant melodies from the game]. I might be confusing II and III, but I think I have at least one specific one from III in mind.

I wonder who made the music. It does sound fantastic. It makes me think of when konami got too much backlash about the music from harmony of dissonance, So they hired the musician from symphony of the night for aria of sorrow. Then people were happy. Just wish that GBA had a better synthesizer chip. I heard the music extracted and played with a better synthesizer and it sounded great.

I have honestly not tried this patch but this is one of the most excellent shooter series in my opinion. It's always been strange to me how the first one is arcade the second 1 is dreamcast and the third 1 is Nintendo wii. And they all run beautiful. Reminds me of esprade or touhou shooters with the flying person.
