It's an expression I've seen crop up occasionally during my time on this site whenever coop or multiplayer games come up. I'm still pretty new to this site so idk if this is a bit against the grain or if a place already exists for this sorta thing, but consider this my way of testing the waters: is there anyone here that would be amendable to some kind of online gaming """group"""?

I've seen Secret of Mana and Resident Evil 5 mentioned. Personally I wouldn't mind getting a hunting party together in Monster Hunter or Diablo 2. The party I've been playing with recently seems to have mostly fizzled out

This is exactly why I still haven't beaten the Mana series and a number of good multiplayer co-op RPGs; I just need someone else willing to sit down and smoke a few bowls with me and get heavy into some games we can beat together. It's a really fun and convenient way to share an adventure with a friend or someone special to you.

It's a tough question. While I do have quite a few online friends, it's hard to actually catch them in the same mood to play the same game as I am. That's why, when I do notice one of them playing something I like, I jump at the opportunity to play it with them.

But yeah, this is part of the reason why I have dozens of discord servers on my account, that I joined for several niche interests and games. So that I can find like minded people at once, been working for Battletech lately. Although that invites a new issue, of getting involved into all these new communities and meeting new people (that I might not get along with sometimes) is hard and takes a lot of energy.

When you mentioned it, I actually need a few people so we can carry a really nice coach that's so heavy like a dead buffalo I just found at the side of the road. I need men so we can carry it to my pickup. I have beer dudes. After all the hard work is done we can sit at the back of my pickup and drink cool beers watching the sunset or something in silence. No homo though. Come here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nowhere,_Oklahoma lol

*ahem* All joking aside, I do have friends to play online games with but our issue is no one is online simultaneously so we rarely play together. We are all lifeless anymore as in we barely have free time to play games. So I got used to having temporary companions I met in online video games who are too shy to even chat so they never answered me so we played together in silence until one of us goes offline but this adds a really unique flavour to online games!!! I'll never forget you SST6671 from Dragon Quest X!!! Whatever that means lol. He started to follow me and sent me a friend request. He never answered my messages despite I wrote "hello" in every language I know. The guy kept dying so easily so I had to waste so much herbs but he always rushed to my help. He was such a sweet heart lol. He always found me no matter where I'm in the game. Once I accidentally fell to a place that you shouldn't because it would be too much drag to even get out that damn place but he jumped too anyway. I think it was love at first sight for him lolol.

I would love to play diablo 2 mane, beaten it twice but I suck at actually knowing the game so stuff like strats builds or runes are pretty unknown to me

I was maybe the only person in the world, nay the universe, that enjoyed Metal Gear Survive. I beged friends even offered them cash as sad as it sounds and could never get a partner. I got so into it in fact I was completing S rank difficulty multi player maps alone. If only it were a Kojima title that steered away from the designation of "zombies" which they were not mind you.

I tried playing Secret of Mana with two different friends in real life and they never wanted to talk to anybody in town so they were messing up the playthrough. In the end I beat it solo instead. Couch co-op is fun for action games instead, as long as you're both into it.
